MPAQ Welcomes Two New External Board Members

The Master Plumbers’ Association of Queensland (MPAQ) is pleased to welcome Jody Monaghan and Melissa Millar as newly appointed External Board Members, bringing valuable industry insight and diverse perspectives to the organisation’s governance and strategic discussions.

Jody Monaghan

Jody Monaghan is the Owner and Managing Director of Stimson Plumbing, a third-generation family plumbing business servicing Toowoomba, Dalby and the wider Darling Downs region. With more than 20 years of experience in the plumbing and maintenance sector, Jody has built a strong reputation for delivering quality services while supporting the growth of her regional business and team.

Jody is passionate about strengthening the sustainability of the plumbing trade in regional Queensland. She is a strong advocate for initiatives that support the retention of skilled plumbers in rural and regional communities, including improved training pathways and greater support for small businesses facing increasing wage and workforce pressures in metropolitan areas. Through her role as an External Councillor, Jody brings an important regional perspective to industry discussions and is committed to ensuring rural plumbing businesses and communities continue to have access to skilled, reliable trades.

Melissa Millar

Melissa Millar joins MPAQ as an External Councillor, bringing extensive experience and a strong commitment to supporting industry collaboration and growth. Melissa’s professional background and engagement across the industry provide valuable insight into the challenges and opportunities facing businesses across the sector. Melissa is passionate about strengthening industry capability, supporting sustainable business practices and contributing to initiatives that enhance workforce development and industry outcomes. Her experience will help MPAQ continue advocating for policies and programs that support plumbing and gas businesses.
